KPMG and Melin launch special edition of Phil’s blue hat

Hat features special nod to KPMG Blue for Books program


KPMG and Melin and proud to present a new special edition of Phil Mickelson’s blue Tour hat! Click here to watch the official announcement video.

This collaboration features the KPMG Blue for Books Program, with custom artwork displayed on the inside of the hat that was designed by 11-year-old Mae Coogan, who won the KPMG Blue for Books Hat Contest. Mae and Phil had the chance to meet earlier this summer to talk about the hat and their shared love of golf and reading. Check out the video below for a look back on their meeting.


Net proceeds from every sale of the hat will be donated to the KPMG Blue for Books program, a subset of the KPMG Family for Literacy program that is supported by KPMG golf ambassadors Phil Mickelson, Stacy Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse and Maverick McNealy. With each sale of an ambassador's blue hat, multiple books are donated to children in need. Since the inception of Blue for Books in 2012, more than 250,000 books have been donated through the program.

The new hat is available for purchase now at for $69, with all net proceeds benefitting the KPMG Blue for Books program.
