PGA Heads to Torrey Pines

Mickelson and McNealy aim for continued success in San Diego

It will be a short commute for KPMG brand ambassador Phil Mickelson when he heads to Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open on Thursday.

Mickelson, a Bay Area native, is no stranger to Torrey Pines. In fact, he has had great success in the Farmers Insurance Open. Mickelson’s second career victory came at the Farmers Insurance Open in 1993. A few years later, he went on to win the tournament in back-to-back years in 2000 and 2001. Mickelson will look to add to his strong performances at Torrey Pines this weekend.

Maverick McNealy has also found success at the Farmers Insurance Open. During his rookie campaign in 2020, McNealy carded a -8 at Torrey Pines to finish 15th. He will look to build on his strong start to the 2021 PGA Tour season, in which he has four top-25 finishes.
