Previewing the 2020 KPMG Women's PGA Championship

The best talent in women's golf heads to Aronimink Golf Club for the sixth annual Championship

It's time to tee it up!

The 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship begins today at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The tournament, which will feature 97 of the top 100 golfers on the LPGA money list, emphasizes KPMG’s commitment to the development of female leaders both on the course and in the boardroom. The tournament features the largest year-over-year purse increase and represents one of the largest purses of any LPGA event at $4.3 million.

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is annually played at the highest caliber of golf courses, and Aroninink Golf Club certainly fits the description. Founded in 1896, Aronimink has hosted a number of significant golf events during its storied history, including the 1962 PGA Championship, the 1977 U.S. Amateur, and the 2003 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Aronimink was also the site of the PGA TOUR’s AT&T National in 2010 & 2011, and the BMW Championship in 2018. With the 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Aronimink will become the first venue to stage each of the PGA of America’s three rotating major championships (PGA Championship, KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship).

KPMG brand ambassadors Stacy Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse, Klara Spilkova, and Leona Maguire will all be in the field this week.
