Mickelson Ready for PGA Championship

Lefty enters season's first major with momentum

Phil Mickelson is playing his best golf of the year at the perfect time.

Fresh off a T-2 finish at last week's WGC FedEx St. Jude Championship, the five-time major winner will look to add another to his storied career at the 2020 PGA Championship, the first major of the adjusted PGA TOUR season.

Last week in Memphis, Mickelson became the first golfer over 50 years of age to finish in the top-5 of a WGC event. His 10-under performance not only left him with a T-2 finish, but also moved him back into the top-50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.

This week at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, Mickelson will look to add a sixth major championship to his resume and another victory to his impressive career record in his home state of California. Mickelson has 14 career professional victories in the Golden State, which is tied for the most all-time.

Lefty will play alongside Spainards Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia for the tournament's first two rounds, teeing off at 1:58p PT on Thursday and 8:33a PT on Friday. Broadcast coverage of the 2020 PGA Championship will be available all four days on ESPN and CBS:

  • Thursday: 1-7p PT, ESPN
  • Friday: 1-7p PT, ESPN
  • Saturday: 10a-1p PT, ESPN; 1-7p PT, CBS
  • Sunday: 9a-12p PT, ESPN; 12-6p PT, CBS

Elsewhere in Team KPMG action, Stacy Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse and Klara Spilkova will all be competing for the second consecutive week at the Marathon LPGA Classic in Ohio, while Paul Dunne will be competing in the European Tour's English Championship.

Good luck to all Team KPMG ambassadors this week!
