Stackhouse, Spilkova and Maguire to make season debuts in The Land Down Under
Team KPMG is ready for a big week in Australia, as Mariah Stackhouse, Klara Spilkova and Leona Maguire are all set to make their season debuts at the ISPS Handa Vic Open. The event, which brings together the LPGA, European Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and ALPG, is a one-of-a-kind tournament which will take place on two different courses at 13th Beach Golf Club in Victoria. Paul Dunne will be the lone male representative from Team KPMG in the field.
Stackhouse begins her second full season on the LPGA Tour looking to build off an encouraging 2018 campaign. The former Stanford standout earned four Top-15 finishes last season while, highlighted by a seventh place finish at the Shoprite LPGA Classic.
Spilkova embarks on a new chapter in her golf career this week, beginning her first season on the LPGA Tour after a dominant performance at LPGA Qualifying School in October. Spilkova has put together a couple solid seasons on the Ladies European Tour in the last two years, highlighted by her lone professional victory at the 2017 Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.
Maguire, one of the most decorated golfers in NCAA history, begins her first full season as a professional this week. The Ireland native will compete primarily on the Symetra and Ladies European Tours, respectively, during the 2019 season, while working toward achieving full time LPGA status for the 2020 season.
