Recapping the KPMG Olafia Kristinsdottir Charity Outing

Kristinsdottir and other LPGA professionals tee it up for charity in Iceland

Last week, KPMG Iceland, along with KPMG brand ambassador and LPGA professional Olafia Kristinsdottir, hosted the second annual KPMG Olafia Kristinsdottir Charity Outing at Keilir Golf Club in Hafnarfjodur, Iceland. The event, which consisted of 14 groups and more than 60 participants, raised $30,000 for local Icelandic charities.

In addition to Kristinsdottir, LPGA professionals Cheyenne Woods, AJ Newell, Maddie Sheils and Allison Emrey were also on hand to participate in the event. Each LPGA tour professional played at least one hole with every group, making it a memorable day for all involved.

“I was blown away by how kind everyone was and how excited they were to play golf,” said AJ Newell after finishing her round. “It was an honor to be a part of this event. It was amazing.”

“I’ve known Olafia for eight years now, and ever since we met, she had told me so much about Iceland, so it’s great to finally be able to come out for the first time and see how beautiful it is,” said Cheyenne Woods, who played collegiately with Olafia at Wake Forest University. “As professional athletes, we have very influential platform. It’s great to see Olafia giving back to her country and community, and it’s special to see the support she has received from the golf community.”

Congratulations to Olafia and KPMG Iceland on another successful event!
