Lewis, Stackhouse and Spilkova return to LPGA action in Phoenix
The LPGA is back in action this week at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup in Phoenix, where KPMG brand ambassadors Stacy Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse and Klara Spilkova will return to competitive action.
Lewis will be making only her second start since her return from maternity leave last summer. After an impressive T-6 finish at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, Lewis is chomping at the bit to return to get back on the course. “The one thing I’ve missed the most is competitive side of playing on tour,” Lewis said. “I’m looking forward to competing more, being under pressure and hopefully giving myself some opportunities to win.”
With so much time between starts, it’s difficult to find consistency, and Lewis is hoping that a few tournaments in a row will get her back on track.
“I’m excited to get back into a rhythm of playing,” Lewis said. “I feel like I play better golf the more I play, so I’m looking forward to playing a couple weeks in a row and seeing where my game is at.”
Stackhouse and Spilkova will each be making their first starts on American soil this week, having competed in two events in Australia already this season last month. Both are in search of their first professional wins on the LPGA Tour.
